Kiln Drying
Timberwright can make arrangements to have your custom cut heavy timbers of any dimension (up to 40 ft. in length), dried utilizing Radio Frequency Vacuum (RFV) drying technology. Timbers dried using this technology are dimensionally stable and have minimal check, twist or bow.
Douglas Fir has the longest drying time of any of our species and can take from 5 to 7 days. Other species are typically dry in four days or less.
S4S Planing
Timberwright can provide planing on all timbers up to 8″ x 14″ and can make arrangements for S4S planing for your timbers of larger dimensions. Price for planing services is $200 CDN per thousand board feet.
Shipping & Delivery
Timberwright Manufacturing can make all freight arrangements for your order and in most cases can deliver direct to your building site. Items can usually be shipped 30 days from date of purchase order (or sooner) for all deliveries in North America, or 60 to 75 days from date of purchase order for all overseas deliveries.
Narrow, winding and/or steep roads may prevent delivery to some sites. Please advise if alternate delivery arrangements must be made. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER TO UNLOAD THE MATERIAL ONCE DELIVERED.
If required, your local lumber yard may be able to assist with your unloading needs.
Every product will be packaged to prevent weather and road damage including appropriate side and bottom protection.
