Let Timberwright Contracting take the hassle out of building your dream home in the forests of Vancouver Island, or on one of the many islands in the Strait of Georgia. Timberwright has the resources and the expertise to co-ordinate the job from surveying the lot through to handing you the keys. No need to deal with the co-coordinating of various contractors and sub-trades. Our cottages are partially manufactured in Campbell River BC then shipped to the location and assembled. In doing this we avoid the costly and time consuming task of transporting men and supplies to a from the job site.

For those of you flying in you will be glad to know that we are located at the Campbell River airport. After overseeing the course of production at our facility we can arrange for your transportation to your cottage site, and have you picked up and returned to the airport again when you are ready to leave. When we began the design of our cottages we took the view that they would be permanent structures, so we did not cut corners when specifying materials.

Every aspect inside and out has been designed to survive many years in our damp coastal climate. We make extensive use of the materials native to our local area, such as Douglas fir for the timbers, Western Red Cedar siding, and Yellow Cedar doors and trim. We even manufacture our own cabinets so we can be sure that they will not deteriorate during the times when you are not there and the cottage is not heated. To help them blend into their very special environment, we incorporate timber frame elements in to most of our designs but the final choice is yours from no timbers to a traditional timber frame home.

Pictured here is the Signature Cottage, an affordable package with some timber elements. At 24’ by 24’ plus an 8’ covered deck it is an ideal weekend or summer cottage. Despite its compact size this cottage sleeps 6 with a full bath and room for a stacked washer and drier.
